Dog Adoption Crates Stolen

Crates used for dog adoptions were stolen over the weekend, and the owners need to replace them.

The Park Pet Haven, located in Tucker, conducts adoption events every Saturday and Sunday at the PetsMart in Dunwoody. We have been very successful in adopting over 150 dogs from this location in the past year.

On Saturday, Dec. 29, the volunteer staff arrived at PetsMart only to find that more than 40 wire crates used to hold dogs during adoption were stolen from the chain link storage area behind the building. Unfortunately there is no security camera footage available to review the theft.

These crates are expensive and we are faced with a big challenge of replacing them so we can resume our adoption activities as soon as possible. We are asking for donations to help us purchase crates. The chip-in link is here.

Additionally, if anyone has any medium size wire crates in good, clean condition to donate, please call us at 770-414-7275. We would need to have any crates delivered to us at 3516 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker.

Thank you.

"Ranger" Rita MacCallon is the owner of the Park Pet Haven.
